About

Medical education is a long process, a very long process.  After four years of undergraduate education would be doctors begin four additional years of medical school followed by at least three more years for residency.  After this the real gluttons for punishment might even sign up for fellowship training, which is usually three years long.  It’s a grueling process that changes people into doctors.  This is a blog about all of the things that happen during this process written from the perspective of someone jumping through the hurdles.  Enjoy.

This blog is not designed to be a resource for medical advice and no one reading it should treat it as such.

In any posts involving actual patients, unimportant facts have been added, subtracted, or rearranged to ensure that the patient remains anonymous.  If you think you are reading about yourself, you’re not.
